With submissions for the 2015 edition of Brainchild closed, our editorial team has been hard at work reviewing submissions.
This year, Brainchild is thrilled to have received more than 260 submissions from more than 130 students representing a number of institutions including: Kent State University, the University of Illinois at Chicago, the University of Southern Indiana, the University of St. Francis, Bowling Green State University, Western Michigan University, Grand Valley State University, the University of Kentucky, McKendree University, the University of Rio Grande, Christopher Newport University and Wright State University, among others.
"We are incredibly pleased with this year's submissions, especially with regard to the quality of the pieces we selected for the magazine,” says Zach Nickels, Editor and Chief of Brainchild. “While last year's magazine was grounded in poetry and fine art, this year's will be more diverse, and I am especially excited to publish some truly wonderful pieces of prose. Our thanks to everyone who submitted to us this year--you have raised the bar for next year's issue."
The 2015 edition of Brainchild will be available in early April, where it will be released officially at the 37th annual Mid-East Honors Association conference. The conference will take place April 10-12 in Kent, Ohio.
Students who are published in Brainchild will be sent two copies upon release of the publication.
