About the Author

Hoda Fakhari is a freshman at the University of Illinois at Chicago. She currently intends to double major in both biochemistry and English literature to satisfy her wide-ranging interests in the arts and the sciences. Her artwork has been published in both her high school and university literary and arts magazines, the latter for which she serves as an editor. Her work has also been featured in the online publication Tupelo Quarterly. After graduation, she hopes to pursue either an MD or MD-PhD.
