ABOUT THE ARTIST

Marissa Kopco is a sophomore visual communication design student at Kent State University. “Sandstone Village” began as a simple perspective illustration project for a class. The piece explores a simpler time in her home town of Amherst, Ohio when sandstone mining was at its peak and immigrants began arriving from Europe. “Classroom” began as a different perspective illustration for the same class. The room is empty except for the creative energy which always resides there.
