About the Artist
Charlsa Hensley is a senior fine arts major at Kent State University with a focus in drawing and printmaking. She attempts to explore the human condition by combining anatomical illustration with an artist’s intuition in her work. The title of her piece, “Continuing Cognitive Decline,” was found in a list of symptoms for Alzheimer’s disease. Her piece demonstrates the repeated image of a brain becoming less readable over time as the decline displays itself on a clinical background.
